In an unprecedented effort to promote accessibility and inclusion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal Bin Salman Autism Center proudly announces its achievement of the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). IBCCES awards the CAC distinction to organizations who have trained 80% or more of their public-facing workforce with autism-specific training, equipping them with the understanding and skills to better communicate and respond to autistic individuals and those who have sensory sensitivities, ensuring they are ready to provide exceptional services to the community and their families.

Lee Health’s Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida Enhances Support and Care for Patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

The only pediatric hospital in the region has been designated as the first Certified Autism Center™ in Florida and is now outfitted with the area’s first sensory-friendly ambulance

Lee Health’s Golisano Children’s Hospital launched a first-of-its-kind program to support patient care for pediatric patients with Autism Spectrum and Sensory Disorders (ASD). The SEA STAR Program, which stands for Safety Education Awareness, Sensory Training – Autism Readiness, includes the first Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) hospital in Florida, reviews of policies and procedures to align with sensory-friendly services, and efforts to identify locations throughout the facilities to best serve those living with autism. It is also now equipped with the first sensory-friendly ambulance to help improve comfort, reduce stress, and ensure safe and supportive transportation to the hospital.

Emirates Host Autism Familiarization Flight for 30 Families
